The original 1967 programme is a slim soft card-bound issue measuring 26.5cm x 11cm. The bind is stapled and it has 80 numbered pages. <br /><br />The pdf version includes profiles and images of Jury president Jan Olof Olsson (Sweden), Vicomte Georges de la Grandiere (France), Hattum Hoving (Netherlands), Cecil Ford (UK), and William Harpur (Ireland). Programme listings include the Short <em>Fleá Ceoil</em> (1967) directed by Louis Marcus, with photography by Robert Monks. Festival related images include members of the 1966 Jury Minhea Gheorghiu (Romania), Dilys Powell (UK), Patrick Carey (Ireland), Kashiko Kawakita (Japan) and Herbert Hegedo (Germany); and Gus Healy with the Japanese delegation. As well as programme listings the brochure includes a number of advertisements from local and national companies across all sectors of the business world. Articles include <em>Tribute to Delbert Mann</em> (pp.70-71) and A Retrospective Programme in Honour of Carl Dreyer by Bernard McDonagh (pp.72-75).

Programme listings include a listing for <em>Brendan Behan’s Dublin</em> (1966) directed by Norman Cohen who was a regular visitor to the festival in its early years; <em>Woman Without a Face</em> (also known as <em>Mister Buddwing</em>) (Delbert Mann, 1966) starring Jean Simmons and Angela Lansbury, which was nominated for two Academy Awards. Festival related images include the Italian director Alberto Lattuada, Trevor Howard, Cornelius Desmond, Noel Purcell, actor Maria Perschy, actor Margot Trooger with members of the Carrigaline Pipe Band. As well as programme listings the brochure includes a number of advertisements from local and national companies across all sectors of the business world. There is minor wear & tear on the cover which is coming away from the rust-damaged staples. <br /><br />The 1965 pdf version includes profiles of Jury president Romanian writer Minhea Gheorghiu (1919-2011), Italian screenwriter Sergio Amidei (1904-1981), Hugues Marie Joseph de Place, German producer Ernst Krüger (1898-1995), and film critic Fr John C Kelly. Programme listings include a listing for <em>Dr Hiob Praetorius</em> (Kurt Hoffman, 1965) starring Heinz Rühmann who came to the festival that year. Irish productions, <em>Saoire Ar Uisce</em> (<em>Holidays on Water</em>) and <em>Peictiuiri Chun Pleisiuir</em> (<em>Pictures for Pleasure</em>), both directed by Colm ó Laoghaire, and with a commentary by Niall Tóibín, and <em>Rhapsody of a River</em> directed by Louis Marcus, with music by Seán Ó Riada, are listed this year. Articles include <em>Ten Years Ago</em> (recalling the birth of the film festival) by Conor Sweeny (pp.6-9), <em>A Tribute to Jean Benoit-Levy: Humanist and Craftsman</em> by Charles Ford (pp.71-74) and <em>Billy Wilder: Court Jester to the World</em> by Professor Robert Gessner, New York University (pp.75-79). The original 1961 programme is a soft card-bound issue measuring 20.5cm x 13.5cm. The bind is stapled and it has 40 numbered pages. <br /><br />The pdf of the 1961 programme includes profiles of the film critic Jerzy Bossak, film critic Charles Ford, German film critic Klaus Hebecker, filmmaker John Ormond, and cinéaste Seán ó Briain who also worked as an assistant editor for <em>Mise Éire</em>. Articles include <em>The World Laughs</em> (p.39) and <em>A Tribute to Fritz Lang</em> (p.40). Programme listings include a listing for <em>Saoirese</em> (George Morrison, 1961) (p.5). <em>Saoirse</em> is the second of the trilogy of documentary films intended to give a picture of the history of Ireland. <em>Mise Éire</em> (George Morrison, 1959) with music composed by Seán Ó Riada, covers the final page of the 1959 programme and details the magnitude of the task in making this documentary. Programme listings also include <em>Das Leben von Adolf Hitler</em> (<em>The Life of Adolf Hitler</em>) (1961) directed by Paul Rotha who came to the festival that year; <em>Ressalah Ailallah</em> (<em>Letter to God</em>) (Kamal Attia, 1961) and the award-winning <em>La Ciociara</em> (<em>Two Women</em>) (1960), starring Sophia Loren, whose director Vittorio De Sica was a visitor to the festival in its early years. The original 1959 Tóstal-Festival of Cork souvenir programme is a soft card-bound issue measuring 17cm x 24.5cm. The bind is stapled and it has 60 numbered pages. <br /><br />The pdf contains a number of images and advertisements, as well as articles about Cork including <em>The Festival of Cork</em> by Commandant Rory Frewen (pp.29-37); <em>A Changing Landscape</em> by TF McNamara (pp.39-50); <em>Ireland’s First Oil Refinery</em> by Stephen Coughlan (pp.51-52); and <em>International Film Festival of Cork</em> by Sean Hendrick – the President of the Irish Film Society (pp.57-60). Film festival press notes, at the rear of the programme, include images of festival attendees Vittorio De Sica, Lea Massari, Fiorella Mari, George Zervos, Jack Lynch, Sean MacCarthy, Vasgen Badal, and Frances Flaherty – the wife of Robert Flaherty. As well as programme listings the brochure includes a number of advertisements from local and national companies across all sectors of the business world.

The original 1959 programme is a soft card-bound issue measuring 16.5cm x 24cm. The bind is stapled and it has 40 numbered pages. There is some minor wear & tear on the cover – particularly around the staples on the bind. The inside cover is signed by Jean Healy.<br /><br />The 1959 festival programme pdf includes profiles of Jury president Charles Frend, Dutch director Bert Haanstra, German director Hilmar Hoffmann, film critic Bjørn Rasmussen and the writer Alf MacLochlainn (1926-2018) – who went on to become director of the National Library of Ireland. The programme notes that the German film critic and friend of the festival, Francis Koval, gave a lecture on film festivals on Sunday 27 September 1959. Articles include <em>East Comes West</em>, about the Japanese Film Industry and its relationship with the Cork Film Festival by Sean Hendrick (pp.34-35) and a tribute to the Italian film director, Vittorio De Sica by Robert Breathnach (pp.35-36). The listing for <em>Mise Éire</em> (George Morrison, 1959) with music composed by Seán Ó Riada, covers the final page of the programme and details the magnitude of the task in making this documentary. As well as programme listings the brochure includes a large number of advertisements from local and national companies across all sectors of the business world.

The original 1958 festival programme is a soft card-bound issue measuring 16.5cm x 24.5cm. The bind is stapled and it has 31 numbered pages. There is some wear & tear on the cover – particularly around the staples on the spine and the top left corner. <br /><br />The pdf of the 1958 programme includes profiles of President of the Jury John Grierson, animator Joy Batchelor, film critic Bjørn Rasmussen, and MGM rep Douglas King. Articles include <em>Robert Flaherty in Retrospect</em> by PO’C (Padraig O Coileáin?) (pp.23-26) and <em>A Tribute to Bresson </em>by Robert Breathnach (pp.27-31). The programme listing includes the German-made <em>Kanonen Serenade</em> (<em>Cannon Serenade</em>) (Wolfgang Staudte, 1958) starring the Italian actor and director Vittorio De Sica, who was a regular visitor to the festival in its early years. De Sica also starred in the Italian comedy film <em>Padri e Figli</em> (<em>Fathers and Sons</em>) (Mario Monicelli, 1957) which also played at the festival in 1958.

The 1994 festival programme cover is a cartoon-like representation of a film scene, centred around a reconstructed version of the Shandon Bells & Tower of St Anne's Church in Shandon, Cork. The sky is burnt-orange and the ground is chequered with blue and yellow squares. The scene being filmed references King Kong who stands aloft the steeple, right arm outstretched in which he is holding a graphic representation of a man carrying a ‘flag’ of negative film. There is a discarded clapper board on the floor. In the background, Cork City is represented in relief, as if at dusk, with the lights of the buildings shining through the blue-tinted landscape. The festival headline is printed in white against a black border at the top of the programme.<br /><br />The back of the programme is an advertisement by festival sponsors Murphy’s for Murphy’s Irish Stout. It shows a colourised picture of a full pint of stout, with its cream-topped head, around which film negative is coiled.<br /><br />The 1994 programme is a soft card-bound programme measuring 29.5 x 20.5cm. The glue-bound programme has 92 numbered pages and is in good condition.

The 1990 festival programme cover is of a gritty realist scene comprising a large silver film reel against a concrete distressed-coloured grey/blue-black background. To the left of the film reel is a smaller spray-painted image of a man carrying a flag, depicted in the Russian workers' style. There are two white borders on the upper and lower edges of the programme on which festival notes are printed.
