She was a leading actor during the late 1950s and early 1960s and her filmography includes The Ashes and Diamond (Andrzej Wajda, 1961), All Souls Day (Tadeusz Konwicki, 1962), and Pharaoh (Jerzy Kawalerowicz, 1966). At the time of her death, in Spain from a car crash, she had been working for the United Nations radio library in New York. Andrzej Wajda, the director of The Ashes and Diamond, was famous for his trilogy A Generation, Kanal and The Ashes and Diamonds.
