An account of the resource
The 1959 Tóstal Corcaí/Festival of Cork souvenir programme is off-white. In the foreground, off centre, is a red Celtic-stylised image of a saint holding a staff in his right hand. The image is flanked by two emblems – one of the harp and one of the coat of arms of Cork (a ship between two towers). The back cover is plain off-white with no images. At the centre of the programme the designer and the printer are credited. The cost of the programme at 2/- is placed at the lower right corner. <br /><br />The 1959 souvenir programme is a soft card-bound programme measuring 17cm x 24.5cm. The bind is stapled and it has 60 numbered pages. It is has some wear and tear on the cover – particularly around the staples on the spine and the upper left corner. Notes: The programme contains a number of images and advertisements as well as articles about Cork by TF McNamara (<em>A Changing Landscape</em>), Stephen Coughlan (<em>Ireland’s First Oil Refinery</em>) and Sean Hendrick (<em>International Film Festival of Cork</em>).
