Addams is wearing a light-coloured dress accessorised with a hairband tied into her dark hair. She is smiling as she faces Massimo, who has his head slightly raised and his hands in the pockets of his Glen-check light-coloured suit. Dawn Addams and Vittorio Massimo were married in 1954 and separated in 1958 (a year after this photo was taken) but their divorce was not granted by the Italian courts until 1971. Massimo died in 1983 at the age of 71 and Addams died in 1985 at the age of 54. They are survived by their son Stefano Massimo, Prince of Roccasecca dei Volsci. They are shown standing in a field with a small dark bull, adorned with prize-winning rosettes, which Prince Massimo is holding with a rope tethered to the ring in its nose. Addams is standing on the left of the bull with her hands on the short horns of the animal. Wearing a dark suit with a white collar, she is smiling at the camera. Her husband, in a suit accessorised with a light-check waist coat, stands on the right, and is looking down while resting his right hand on the neck of the bull. Children can be seen standing behind the couple, including two boys wearing suits. They stand and gaze at the camera, one of the boys smokes a cigarette while the girl, with a short bob hair cut, has her arm around the shoulders of a young boy. Dawn Addams married Prince Massimo, from the princely house of Massimo, historically one of the great aristocratic families of Rome and major patrons of the arts, in 1954. By all accounts they had a tumultuous relationship and by 1959 Addams sought a divorce which was only granted in 1971 due to strict catholic-influenced Italian laws.
