This is a black and white photo, marked 1956, of a Rank Organisation trip to Cobh, County Cork. The photo shows a small group of film festival visitors, dressed in daywear, both seated and standing on the deck of a boat. In the background, we can make out a seascape and shoreline. The photo does not identify the visitors but we might guess some of them are actors contracted to the Rank Organisation, a British film company whose films were frequently shown during the early years of the festival.
