This is a black and white photo of the German actors Eva-Ingeborg Scholz and Eva Kotthaus with Dermot Breen on the left and a guest identified as Karl Heinz Herren on the right. The small group are standing together engaged in animated conversation. Scholz is smiling broadly up at Breen who is looking towards her while Kotthaus is smoking a cigar which is raised towards her lips and holding a drink in her left hand. They are all dressed in formal wear with Scholz wearing a dark evening dress, trimmed with a white collar, and accessorised with dark satinised long gloves. Kotthaus is wearing an elaboratly designed light-coloured dress pulled in at the waist with dark-coloured laces.

Eva-Ingeborg Scholz (1928-) was a German film and television actor and her companion Eva Kotthaus (1932-), was also a German actor. Kotthaus has a filmography of small parts in a series of movies through the fifties and sixties. Around the time of this photo, marked 1958, Kotthaus would appear in A Farewell to Arms (Charles Vidor, 1957) and The Nun's Story (Fred Zinneman, 1959).
