This is a black and white photo of the Irish actor David Kelly with his wife the actor Laurie Morton, Father Burke, and Tom Hickey. The convivial group are shown in a huddle speaking, with Kelly, cigarette in hand, looking over to Morton as she speaks. We have a few pictures of David Kelly in the archive but this is the only one that identifies his wife the actor Laurie Morton. Like Kelly she too worked on the television series Strumpet City (1980), as well as Snakes and Ladders (Trish McAdam,1996) and the Irish comedy film Adam & Paul (2004) directed by Lenny Abrahamson and starring Tom Murphy and Mark O’Halloran. Their daughter Miriam Kelly is also an actor and voiceover artist who has worked with The Abbey Theatre and The Royal Shakespeare Company.
