This is a black and white photo of festival director Dermot Breen with Tom Nicholas on the grounds of Ashbourne House in Glounthaune, Cork. The two friends stand together and chat in the convivial setting. Nicholas, with a glass in hand, was a founding member of the London Friends of Cork and often hosted events at the Martini Terrace in London for the festival. The 1980 film festival programme notes that this group of London-based film people raised thousands of pounds to help the development of the Cork festival. Nicholas went on to become Managing Director of Columbia-EMI-Warner Distributors.
