This is a black and white photo of the Italian actors  Luisa Della Noce and Sylva Koscina with festival director Dermot Breen. Della Noce is in animated conversation with Dermot Breen while Koscina looks on. Breen has his left arm linked through the right arm of Koscina. All three are dressed in evening wear with the actors in evening gowns accessorised with white opera-length gloves.

Both Della Noce and Koscina, starred in the 1956 Italian drama film The Railroad Man ('Il Ferroviere') directed by Pietro Germi. The film received a Special Mention Award at the 1956 Cannes Film Festival and well as awards for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actress for Luisa Della Noce.
