This is a black and white photo of the Yugoslav-born Italian actor Sylva Koscina, seated and smiling broadly up at the camera. Koscina is wearing a light-coloured full skirted three-quarter length off-the-shoulder dress accessorised with opera-length white gloves.
Koscina (1933-1994) played in The Railroad Man (Pietro Germi, 1956), Hercules (Federico Teti, 1958), and acted alongside Paul Newman in The Secret War of Harry Frigg (Jack Smight, 1968). Before her work in film she was a fashion model as well as a physics student at the University of Naples.
