Description
The 1975 Gala Premiere programme cover is off-white with a line drawing on the front of a cinema with outline figures of people queuing up outside to enter. To the right spotlights throw up star-flecked light towards the right edge of the programme. Text, in red and black font, is presented at the top and centre of the programme, advertising the feature film The Towering Inferno (John Guillermin, 1974) to take place at the Savoy Cinema that year.
The back cover is an advertisement for ‘Pepsi-Cola’. The 1975 Gala Premiere programme is a soft card-bound programme measuring 21.5cm x 28cm. The bind is stapled and it has 18 unnumbered pages together with an insert of the film details within. There is minor discolouration on the cover. Note: The Towering Inferno was the last feature film screened at the Savoy Cinema before it shut down later that month, in February 1975.
