Description
This is a black and white photo of the Irish actor Sinéad Cusack speaking into a microphone at an outdoor event. A small crowd, some in sunglasses, gather around listening. A tartan blanket is folded over the iron bench behind her and a breeze blows through her long fair hair.
Born in Dublin, Cusack is the daughter of the actors Maureen and Cyril Cusack. She is an award-winning actor and started acting with the Abbey before moving to the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1975. Her film work includes Hoffman (Alvin Rakoff, 1970), Stealing Beauty (Bernardo Bertolucci, 1996), and John Boorman’s Queen and Country (2014) which had its première at the Cannes festival that year. Most recently she was the winner of the Irish Times Theatre Award for Best Actress for Our Few and Evil Days in 2015.
