This is a black and white group photo of the festival director Dermot Breen with local dignitaries and film festival attendees. The photo, dated 1976, includes Lord Mayor Seán French, his wife Patricia French, the actor David Hemmings, his partner Prudence de Casembroot, the English actor Linda Hayden, Gerry O’Halloran, and others unidentified. They are all dressed formally and pose for the camera smiling.

The Lord Mayor sits in the front row, in a frill-trimmed shirt, next to Prudence de Casembroot. De Casembroot was the then-partner of the actor David Hemmings who sits on the far left in the front row. Hayden stands behind Hemmings, wearing a halter-neck dark dress, and smiles at the camera, glass in hand. At the time of this picture, in the 1970s, both Linda Hayden and David Hemmings were stars of British cinema.
